About Adrian
📍 Gilbert, Arizona
Four years in the hobby. IT manager in Gilbert, AZ. Runs a 7.1.2 Atmos setup with an Epson 4010 and SVS sub. Calibrates with Audyssey + REW. Writes the guides I wish I'd had when I started.
His current room is a 14x18 ft converted bonus room with a 9-ft flat ceiling and two rows of seating. The rig: Epson 4010 projector on a 120-inch Silver Ticket ALR screen, a Denon AVR-X3700H driving Klipsch RP-600M bookshelves at the front, RP-500C center, RP-500M surrounds, and Klipsch CDT-3650-C II in-ceiling height channels for Atmos — all anchored by an SVS PB-1000 Pro subwoofer calibrated to REW measurements with a UMIK-1.
He's not a CEDIA-certified installer or an ISF-certified calibrator. He learned his process from Audioholics, Anthony Grimani's training videos, and years of AVS Forum threads. He publishes REW screenshots of his actual room when they're relevant. He defers to Projector Central for projector specs, Audioholics for measurements, and AVS Forum consensus for gear he doesn't own.
Home Pictures Cinema covers entry-to-mid-tier home theater gear, calibration workflows for real rooms, and the long upgrade path from "TV and soundbar" to "dedicated theater you actually use." Adrian kept the domain name from its previous owner, an amateur filmmaker — it turned out to suit a home cinema review site better than it did a short-film portfolio.
